What kind of books will we be reading?

All kinds! I will feature selections from historical fiction, biographies and autobiographies, mystery romance, and modern-day fiction. But all the books will have at least two things in common:
1. They will be written by female authors who aren’t household names, and 2. The content will be encouraging, uplifting, and easy to read. WRENS club reads will make you smile, not cry.

When will each month’s title be announced?

Look for new books to be announced on the 2nd of each month on the Books tab of the website. Each month The Charter Chime (our 13 charter members) will vote on which of three titles we will read next. Once that title is posted, you will have a month to acquire and read the book.

Can I join multiple groups under one subscription?

Each subscription is for one club only. However, gift subscriptions are available. Email us for more info!

Can I switch my club day if I have a conflict?

Club meetings are only for those who are signed in as members. However, the recorded Zoom of your meeting will be available on the website following the
meeting.

What if I don’t like a book?

Reading the book is never required! Come for the discussion and to fulfill the WRENS mission to “encourage, nurture, and share” even if you choose just to listen! Perhaps the conversation will even intrigue you enough to check it out later!

I’m technology-challenged. Will I be able to navigate online meetings?

We make it as easy as possible for you! We send you an email with step-by-step instructions, and you will also receive a confirmation email. With just a few
simple clicks, you’ll be Zooming like a pro!

Do I have to speak?

There are no obligations in The WRENS! You will never be called on or called out if you only want to listen. You don’t even have to give your name if you
choose not to. There will be opportunities for members to get to know one another, but no member is required to participate.

Can I switch groups after I’ve signed up?

Yes, you can, but you'll need to update that in your profile settings page. To access another group, click CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION, then revisit the SIGN UP page to select the preferred club of choice.

Why do you ask for my mailing address?

To send you prizes! Fun treats and rewards are part of The WRENS experience, and we don’t want you to miss out! The WRENS Book Club will never sell nor share your personal information. However, if you wish to opt out of receiving prizes, you can opt out of sharing your address.

Will I be charged for the months the clubs don’t meet?

All subscriptions, whether monthly or annual, are for 12 months so that I can adequately cover my costs, business and personal. As with other subscriptions, such as Amazon Prime, you may not use the service every month, but the costs are spread over the full year for your convenience and mine. Clubs meet every month except May and December.
